Although we have it on our contracts that ALL pet/companion pups are to be spayed/neutered (for males between 12 and 18 months and for females not before a year), IF you are a RESPONSIBLE owner, there would be NO need to spay or neuter. The cons of spaying and neutering, in my honest opinion, far outweigh the pros. Neutering too early (before a male lifts his leg to pee) can open a whole can of worms for a dog that is not proportionally built (early neuter means that the growth plates do not close when they are supposed to, causing a dog to be taller and lankier and possibly having problems with torn ligaments - mainly in larger dogs) and psychological issues as well (fear biting, insecurity, etc). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.... everyone, use the brain that God gave you and research this yourself. Do not take my, or anyone else's word for it. Research it yourself!!
