Kastle played with bubbles

This dog came home from work...he's my retired bomber and he's looking for a real nice retirement home. He's 11. And awesome. His name is Cinco.

Also, Aikon is doing very well (after almost dying from a mysterious illness) and I get very regular updates and photos (photos by Lies Rosema)

Protection looks very nice. you can see a lot of good work has been put in. Transports look like they're coming along. They try and duck here and there hoping it will get them to a bite faster don't they :)

I don't know how you started that exercise, but one thing you might want to try with the helper at this point. It's not a big change at all, but I used to hold the sleeve lower and slightly turn myself into the dog, much like your helper is doing, to maintain correct position. and then try and fade it. I've found that holding the sleeve much higher up across the chest and not turning my body kept the dog from wanting to shoot out in front or wrap around the helper when walking.

Then a lot of halting and paying from the front, then gradually bringing the sleeve down to a more natural position. when in motion

If not, no big deal. It looks like you guys know what you're doing so I'm sure you'll get there anyway :) I think that small change made a big difference for us and I don't have to walk so awkwardly :)

But overall, very nice work. It shows.

Thanks :D Yeah, Kastle thought if maybe he fuss'd with Josh, he would get the "reward" faster LOL

We actually did what you suggested the very next session. Kas isn't ducking behind anymore and now he's got the hang of not wrapping up in front too far. I appreciate the kind words and suggestions though!

I'm really looking forward to world's in a couple of weeks! Can't wait to see all manner of dogs working :D

and now I watched the retrieves, very good work. Fast and consistent, good position. When do you trial? I think you'll do very well.

doesn't it make you feel so loved when your loyal dog goes and "fuss's" with the helper in perfect position while you're left wondering where your faithful and obedient dog is going :p

I won't be making to the worlds this time. Went when it was in KY a few years ago and it was a blast. you eally see a wide arrangement of dogs too. Some very good, some not so good. Some very strong with training issues, some not so strong with lots covered up with great training. When it comes undone :( not pretty. And then you get to see the ones that have it all.

Wish it was a bit closer and I might make it, but I think I checked and it was like 16 hours or something. Too much going on to make that a priority :( oh well, have fun!

Awesome photos, I absolutely LOVE the ones with Kastle and the bubbles!
They were so much fun to take! I took a TON of them (I posted more on FB). I am itching to try them out with the red boys too!

Was supposed to be beginning of November but we're not training for the next three weeks in a row (thanks Worlds) so I am not comfortable yet. Aiming for December. I've reworked his heeling a bit so I need to re-refresh his motions as well.

LOL yeah, especially since he normally isn't all into fuss'ing with others! Traitor! haha

Ahhh I'm so excited. My TD (the one in the vid) is competing :D So I'm also super nervous lol We're driving about 12 hours to get there but not often (at least for us) that a close friend will be competing at worlds!

Well good luck!!! It will be a blast i'm sure. Competing at that level is a different experience i'm sure. One day maybe you can be there and we can have a Chaz party ? I think next year is France, could be a nice vacation for everyone :)

Anyway, I think you're more ready than you think. The training looks very nice and you can tell things have been done well. Don't let perfection be your enemy :) although it's easy to say and we're all kind of the same way. Nobody wants to go out and fail or look bad.

I was supposed to trial in Oct., but then breeding was supposed to happen and then didn't and then she ended up having surgery, but is recovered now and doing fine. No trials up here for a while. maybe one in IL in november, but I can't remember. Not that it matters, I won't be trialing again till next year anyway.

Eden <3<3<3. Aikon is STUNNING. Seriously, he is gorgeous and I'm really glad he didn't die of the mysterious illness. Kastle looks amazing and I would like to know what kind of boots you're wearing in the video with Steele. Lol.

Your photos are so gorgeous!! Love, love, love them all, especially the ones of Kastle and the bubbles. Makes me want to play with them and Trent :)

Ikon is looking great, too! I just love bi-colors. So glad that scare was over and didn't do the puppy any lasting harm <3

Me tooooo!!!

LOL those would be MuckBoots. hahaha The grass was wet and had just been cut. My calves are enormous though so they are a snug fit.

OMG the bubbles were so much fun - I actually took tons more photos but I'm never sure if I'm boring people when I post a lot of pics in one thread...you probably saw them on FB though :) The red boys will be going out to see bubbles soon - I'm interested to see what they make of them!

So far, so good. I'm just hoping that he isn't prone to having that sickness again since he's already had it once. Updates are always glowing and I get loads of pics and texts etc. It makes my heart happy.

LOVE your photos. As always. Aikon is gorgeous, and Eden still has my heart.
Ahhhh Eden, she is a heart stealer for real! When she does poses right and I praise her...she gets the zoomies. And Cardi Corgi zoomies are fab because her back looks like and inch worm and her tail drags on the ground....and she thinks she's going SO FAST, but she's not :rofl1:

I think we still have some bottles lying around of bubble liquid thing, but definitely not the huge ones in your pictures. LOVE those, will really have to go out and buy them! And yes, I did see the ones on FB, and they're all amazing. No idea how you go through all your photos from each week to pick just one.

I'm glad Aikon's been doing really well so far! He's growing up so handsomely <3 And he seems like such a fun, bright, adorably happy puppy :)
