lol i can't believe i'm caving on this i swore i'd never even consider a smaller dog when i finally got my own place. but i forgot how **** cute they are =). I spent half of spring break at home and my sister has a chi from a byb ( she didn't know any better) and a mixed puppy that we got for free that maybe some kind of boston terrier mix. Their both really active and athletic plus theres the appeal of when you in a rush being able to pick up both of them one in each hand and head for the car. Or maybe im just a sap  at night it was freezing in my room and the chi would sleep curled up on my stomach she's better than a hot water bottle.

They definatly do have their appeal. Tucker takes up way less room in the bed or on the couch then Pixie. And like you said their easier to pick up (A good quick removal from a bad situation) and they are athletic and energetic. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes though.

Enjoy !!! All dogs need their space next to you .! Fortunately , my bed can only take one or 2 big dogs.... so I'll leave 30 toys to you !

I never like toy breeds before I got my first chihuahua. I was forced to get a small dog because of the land lord. I thought toy breeds were too small, yappy, and aggressive. My whole opinion changed fast! I love my chihuahuas. I will always have one around!!

I used to feel the same way! I thought all toy breeds barked way to much and it so annoyed me when toy breeds would not stop barking at me when i walked by. Once I met some Shih Tzu though I found out I was so wrong and fell in love :)
