Ughhhhh,

I am moving to Arlington, VA in a month-ish, and am having a heck of a time finding a place.

Every place I find seems to have a 'no pet' rule...and every place that doesn't...already has dogs..

Oakley just doesn't get along with other dogs. I'm sure the right dog would be fine, but since I'm not there, its SO hard to figure that out. I just love being able to give Oakley free range of the house...

ARGH.

/end rant.

My dog is spoiled.

Can't you just crate and rotate? And isn't finding a place you can move in with him more important than him having free range of the house?

*hugs*

If and when you find a place, talk to Sweet or Skittledoo about desensitizing Oakley to other dogs. Cristy helped Amber (skittle) with Bamm Bamm's issues, and now he can play off-leash with a group of dogs, when beforehand, he would have a snarling, yelping fit if he saw a dog 50' away,

I'm near the area, so if there's any way I can help, shoot me a PM.

What's your budget and where are you working and will you have a car and what is your tolerance for a commute?

Alexandria is super ridiculously dog friendly, and depending where in Arlington the job is it could be a pretty quick commute.

Steph, I owe you an email, sorry.

I hear ya. Having non-dog friendly dogs is a pain in the butt. I'm looking for roommates that are dog friendly/savvy, but who don't have dogs themselves. But if I have to crate and rotate the dogs out then so be it. Moving is important (and necessary). Plus I figure they can have free roam of my room all of the time, and the rest of the house part of the time. Really not so bad ;)
