Can you do tricks and flips and stuff? That is really cool.
yeah, i havent been to a park, i only do street stuff becuase i have more freedom doing that. and no i dont do flips, mainly becuase that is park stuff. but the thing is whenever people think about aggressive inline, they think about flips and air tricks. thats only if you are doing vert (in a halfpipe). well aggressive inline in like 80% grinds. thats what i do. it sucks though becuase i get into trouble whenever i grind rails that are not mine. thats why i dont do it much anymore, i dont want cops showing up to my house.

but anyways, to me, christmas is just another commercial holiday. and for new years i dont really see a point in it to celebrate. ok im goign to stop myself again becuase i just said something that sounded really ignorant. sorry.

Well, Charley just got a card from one of his buds from college saying that he and his wife will be in Knoxville (45 minutes from here) on New Year's, so we may end up going to Knoxville, although I hope if we do it's on New Year's Day, not Eve. Too many idiots on the road and too many road blocks between there and here.

Charley's talked about wanting to take a couple of days and run down to the beach over Christmas, but we can't leave the dogs. We could leave them with my parents, but he wants to go to Treasure Island, where he used to live in Florida; I don't have any desire to go to Florida and have even less desire to go through the hassle of flying, so I told him if he wanted to go I'd stay home with the dogs. My idea of a relaxing time is loading up the tent camping gear and the dogs and heading out to the woods. I'd much rather be with my dogs than with people. One of these days I've got to get my old Jeep back in shape so I can drive it on the road and take off with the pups.

Oh I remember Knoxville on New Year's from college. Luckily I lived right off the strip in the condos behind the Pilot. Walking distance to pretty much anywhere I wanted to go college. I loved living there in college. Game day was always awesome. We would sit on our patio and watch all the people in their cars stuck on our street while we were in walking distance to the stadium, bars, restaurants, etc. Luckily I had a best friend with a dad who got us into there. It was a good 4 years.

I need to get back to Knoxville soon, I have not been in forever. But I am like you, Renee, and I hate leaving the animals, especially the dog. The cat is more independent and I think she actually likes a few days with the house all to herself.

Bogolove, I'm sad to have to tell you that Sam and Andy's is no longer on the Strip. There's one waaaayy out on the west end of Knoxville now, but it's been gentrified and the sandwiches have no character whatsoever. A lot of the old standards on the strip are gone now . . .

I can't remember that it was there when I was there even. I remember it, but we ALWAYS used to eat at Gus's Goodtimes Deli and Vic and Bill's. They have great sandwiches too. they put them in those steamer things.....yummy! Gus makes a good hamburger too!

I think those are gone too. :( Sam and Andy's was there on the corner. It was there way back when Charley was at UT the first time (before Nixon was president - lol!) and it was still there until just a couple of years ago. Every time we went to Knoxville he HAD to eat at Sam and Andy's. A Reuben (or two) and a quart of chocolate milk - strange combo. And he doesn't gain a lot of weight. That's just wrong. So wrong.
