The dog in my Avatar is a pup that I am looking to buy this month. I am looking at him as a potential protective training dog.

My shelties are great. The are dark Sables. They have the Tri gene though.

There are so many different ways to name dogs' colors based on their breed, I get lost.

My white Poodle is Shamus. He is almost 2 years old, neutered male. Very smart. Finn is 5 months old, soon to be neutered male. I have dyed Shamus different colors using food coloring that washes out after 3 weeks( DON"T SHOOT ME!) A lot of people have bad feelings about that but it is harmless and he looks at it like another bath.

As long as the dye won't hurt them, you're not likely to get flamed here. We have a few groomers who have dyed their own dogs too

I'm glad that I'm not be ask to "walk the plank!" LOL. Finnegan was bred by my cousin and they hated to part with him. He was the only phantom pup, the others were white. I love Poodles. They are a very personal dog. Great house dogs and good with children. They are also very smart. My two are not "yappy little dog" types at all. Finnegan was kinda a present for Shamus! They are great together. Finn is very small. Shamus is in standard but Finn is more the short legged kind.
