my 5 month old puppy found and chewed (possibly ingested) a small citronella candle. I called poison control, and they said it would pass in her stool. for 2 1/2 days now since she ate that, she has had horrible diarrhea. other than that, she acts totally normal. I called the vet, who took a stool sample, and she said there were no parasites. she also said not to feed her a couple of meals to let her intestines clear out. how long does it take for the citronella to finish and be done through her system? she seems like she is starving ( she has only missed 1 meal) I feed her the innova puppy food; would this be irritating her stomach? she has been on it for over 2 months now with no problems at all; even a little constipated sometimes! when can I start her back on her regular schedule? what are the best times of the day to feed her to keep her on a good regular bowel schedule? any help would be greatly appreciated!
