My Cygnus, not a dog, but deserves a tribute

Cygnus:

When I got you as a baby.......I chose you because you were the REW I had wanted to share my life with for the longest time.
This was him:

You came to me shy.......It took alot to earn your trust, and you never grew out of your bashfulness. I was the only person who was ever able to have your complete trust.........And I thank you for allowing me to have that valuable gift.

Other people thought your eyes made you look "evil"......But everytime I looked at you, I seen nothing but a true angel, with so much love to give in your beautiful eyes.

Although when you grew up.....You molted and were no longer my REW. But that didn't matter, you were my Cygnus...Or rather, the name you heard from me more often My "Cyggy-babe" and one of the most handsome guys around. Even though it was evident that you knew it, you were ever so humble.

I stick with my past statement, that if you were human, you would have been the perfect, flawless gentleman.

You blessed me, in every breath you took, and not only did you leave your mark in my heart.........You left it in the holes on my clothing.
I don't know how you were able to get a hold of my clothes, but you seemed to enjoy taking up this task, for mommy to come home to see you chewing up her favorite sweaters.
Maybe it was when I would smile at you, and trade you a craisin and a kiss on the nose for the sweater that encouraged you.
It didn't matter to me.....I would still wear the sweaters....And when people would ask me why there are holes in my sweater, I just smiled and said "My rabbit signed them for me. He'd be happy to sign yours too if you want."

The people who never knew you, missed something amazing. The people who didn't appreciate you, should be ashamed.

You've flown away too soon, and you took my heart with you. Your favorite spot is just as you left it.....Your hay is still there....Your cuddle-stuffy, your tunnel, and your blanket, is still there. It's only missing you.

I regret that I wasn't here to protect you. I regret that my brother (Who is now disowned, not welcome at this house, and is a brother by blood only) had to ignore the rules of the house, that were there for your protection. I regret that you had to spend the last of your days without a rabbit-buddy, even though I gave you ten times the amount of attention and treats than when you had a rabbit-friend.

I regret that your last moments were spent in a scary, unfamiliar place.

I regret that I couldn't be there to comfort you and hold you, and talk to you, and kiss you to make your passing easier.
I would have been there for you if I could my sweet little man.

Your absence is going to be a huge one, you brought so much peace and love into this family while you were here.

I know your first stop will be Heaven's palace, to have snuggle time with Miss Clio. She's waiting for you.

Rest well baby boy. You meant the world to me.

I'm so sorry. Cygnus sounds like he was such a special bunny. Your story about eating a piece of clothing touched my heart. I bet Cygnus is up there with Miss Clio hopping around and watching you from above.

What a beautiful story/tribute to your Cygnus. I'm sorry you have lost him but may he rest in peace and have fun at the rainbow bridge!
