What I saw on CNN said that they hired the car 5 weeks after the disappearance. It sounded like they were trying to say maybe she had been dead and they hired the car to transport her body somewhere and that's how the blood got there. I'm not buying it. I don't think she did it.

That is sort of what I was getting out of it . I don't know, it's an odd story. I never understood parents leaving toddlers alone in a hotel room to sleep.

Yeah, something fishy went on, but I don't think the mom killed her. Hired someone to maybe, but I don't think she did it.

Any word on what caused them to search a car that wasn't even involved at the time , I mean that would seem odd to look for evidence in a car that they did not have until later.

I just saw this on the news earlier, it's just terrible. I hope her parents had nothing to do with it :(.

Something about dogs smelling the scent of a corpse on her clothes recently.

Hmm... to charge the grieving parent in what has become an international case...
They'd want to be d@mn sure they have solid evidence to support that charge.

I have no faith in the Portuguese police, based on what I've seen/read so far. I mean, she disappeared in May, and they are just now finding out that there were traces of blood on the wall of the apartment?????

Thats exactly what confuses me, if this happened in May one would think that Mrs.McCann washed her cloths by now, why would the smell like a corpse. Apparently the Teddy that she carries around with her smelled of a corpse also. But I doubt she would carry it around with her if it were some kind of evidence.

But what parent leaves their kid alone in an apartment? I doubt she killed... But MAYBE she payed someone to kill her; but why is the next question that pops into my head. Maybe they were trying to get money, I think the whole international search thing has something to do with it.? It's possible, they got over one million last time I checked.

There are all kinds of theories about selling her on the black market and stuff like that. THAT is terrifying to me.

As for her clothes having the scent of a corpse, the said something on CNN about suspicion that it was due to her having possibly moved the body weeks/months after the disappearance.

Lovely =/

ikk Black market is terrifying.

I just have a hard time believing the parents did it; they just seem to normal and concerned about their children and Maddie.

If it comes down to it, I hope she was murdered in her sleep, rather than being sold into some sicko child prostitution ring or something equally horrifying.

Man, that’s creepy and disturbing. Poor kid. :(

Sadly, the murderers of kids are most often their parents, statistically. You know how they always say "Take away Pixie Sticks from your kids at Halloween because some psycho might have put poison in them?" Well, there is only one documented case of Pixie Stick poisoning . . . It was a dad who put the poison in his son's Halloween candy, hoping to make it look like someone else had given him the treat. :mad: You've got to wonder how people can do that to a kid.

Well, I hope they're closer to finding whoever did it, whether it was the parents or someone else.
