I've heard you can determine, or roughly calculate how much food a dog should be getting? If you can.. can you help me calculate how much food I should be giving my dog daily?

He's roughly 35lb'ish and 4 months old. I'd say he gets a pretty decent excercise on some days, and not much excercise on some others. Oh right, and I'm feeding him Canidae all life stages.

It should say on the bag. That will give you a general guideline and you can tweek it from there if he looks thin or fat.

I'm no mordy though :D

it would be about 2,000 kcal/day, but without knowing the projected adult weight, that might be off a bit.

Oh, he's a mixed breed, so I'm not entirely sure what his weight will be at maturity. lab x husky. My vet says he'll be around 50-60lbs.
And thanks alot for the help Mordy. :)

okay, so he's at least half grown already, which means the body needs less energy.

around 1,500 kcal is more appropriate then, since you don't want to overfeed.
