Some photographers will do TFP (time for prints). That way you each get to build up your portfolios and no one really spends any money. Some agents or agencies are just as big of a scam, they'll let anyone model and give them "tricks of the trade" all for a pretty penny. Then there could be some perv out there that sets up fake shoots and you never see your prints until they're on the net somewhere, manipulated anyway the perv chooses. But I don't think that's really what she's found w/ the link she gave me.
