Is it OK to mix canned and dry dog food together for a meal?

I usually feed my 12 lb. coton de tulear 1/3 of the small size can of EVO RM with 1/3 cup of the dry EVO small bites for breakfast, and she just goes berserk for that canned food. In the evening I give her about 1/4 cup of the EVO dry kibble; although I am thinking of changing her to the Orijen.

My 9 week old shih tzu puppy just started on the puppy orijen and LOVES it! But she is also trying to eat all of her big sisters canned food; is it OK to feed a puppy the EVO RM canned? If so, how much per meal?

Thanks for any input!

Mixing is fine, If not great! Wet food is very good for dogs. You can feed the EVO RM canned t the Shih-Tzu but I'm not sure how much you should do, does the bag have any suggestions if you are mixing? I know Pedigree did (I know it's a disgusting food I will never feed it again) but I'm not sure about Orijen. I would go by body condition and see how much she eats then adjust until she was eating it all and maintaining a perfect weight, Careful though, Shih-Tzus become over weight easily.

With small breeds, it's not an issue to feed the EVO. I raised Alice from 10 weeks on on Innove EVO ONLY and she looked fantastic the whole time. It can be an issue for large breeds, but I wouldn't worry about a Shi Tzu, especially if it's not your pup's only food source.
