I saw it. It's cute for the first twenty minutes, then it gets boring. You see penguins walking, penguins eating, penguins starving, penguins swimming, penguins dying, penguins getting caught by a sea lion, penguins getting upset.
It was boring!!! I mean seriously, penguins are cute and all, but I don't need to see them walking around for an hour and a half....it teaches you a lot about them though. It's a cute movie, just a little boring.
I saw that I added an E after I posted....being a French film..I should have posted La Marche de L'Empereur. We'll post our comments when we get home...maybe...we're going to toss a few after and she and Hunter are having a sleep-ova !
We'll EliNHunter are on their way home. We both thought the movie amazing. Humans need to take heed of the family care in the animal world. We hit TGI Friday afterwards for margaritas and h'or dervies ....back here where the hot tub was entered ...plus Hunter ! My guests were " out" by 1 AM....Chip and I upt'il 1:45. Hunter wore Chip out...he's such a loving clown !!!!
Great documentary! A little amazing how well it's doing in the theaters, though. It's just a "National Geographic" type thing that would air on cable. But very interesting!
I'm surprised that more people on this forum haven't seen this movie !!! So many see what I consider " dumb brain" films .... this is worth while !! If you've seen it and disagree ( as 1 did ) post!!!

I guess it wasn't as enjoyable because we had two little kids with. Trying to keep Gabe from screaming "LOOK, A BABY PENGUIN!" and covering me in chocolate LOL. All these little kids would suddenly jump up from their seats and go, "MOM, THERE'S A PENGUIN!" and we're like, "Wow...look....there are HUNDREDS of penguins!"
No, I think it's a cute movie. A little boring and NOT for little kids (though it's rated G).

It's too boring for them. Gabe got a thousand ants in his pants...he was sitting there eating milkduds, yelling every now and then he wanted popcorn or something, and then he'd go, "Aaawww, look! A baby penguin!" When my sister Josie brought Seneca and Gabe out into the hall she said he ran around like a nutball.
