My puppy has a skin infection, little red spots on his tummy. His vet has him on antibiotics to clear out the infection, if that doesn't work then we are going to give him some steroids. In the mean time I was wondering if anyone had some good shampoo recommendations? Herbal, homemade, or even store bought and where you buy it.

I thought Chance had sensitive skin, and so in the past I had been using Epi-soothe, but it just didn't do the trick for him.

Are you looking for an antibacterial shampoo? Or just a plane jane shampoo? Earthbath has an aloe vera and oatmeal shampoo, they also have a tea tree oil shampoo.

I'll look around for the anti-bac shampoo we used on buddy when he had mites as I've forgotten the name...

My first thought was Earthbath. My favorite dog shampoo and I swear by it. It's very soothing.

Oatmeal & Aloe Shampoo
Oatmeal and aloe are recommended by veterinarians to effectively combat skin irritation, promote healing, and re-moisturize dry skin. Combine these natural wonders with vanilla and almond oils and your pet will smell as good as she feels and looks.
Tea Tree Oil & Aloe Vera Shampoo
Natural anti-inflammatory oils and soothing emollients help speed the healing of itchy, chafed skin and hot spots caused by flea bites, dandruff, or other dermatitis. Your pet will be healthier and happier after just one use.
Hypo-Allergenic Shampoo
The eight choice for pets with skin allergies and sensitivities - per vet's order the product contains soothing aloe vera and is fragrance and dye free. Tearless and ultra-mild, we recommend this one for puppies and kittens.
If you need an antibacterial shampoo I'll see what I can find.

I looked around and found this medicated, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal shampoo from Foster and Smith. I've found Foster and Smith to be very reliable. :)

Here's another similar shampoo.
