Lilly has developed lick spots on her right foreleg. I just noticed last night she was licking it and told her to stop. Well I put outside in her kennel while I was at work and when I got home her leg was all licked. Tonight I was watching a movie and was feeling her leg then one spot I touched she started whinning. I am like great! I take her in my room and look at her leg and on her wrist she has a small red spot that she whins when i touch it.

I put some Bag Balm on her leg because it works WONDERS on chaped feet, noses, lips, and skin irratation. I am also watching her so she doesn't lick it and since I put bag balm on it she hasn't tried.

Does anyone have any tips on lick spots? It's not a big area, maybe size of a penny but I don't want it to get any worse.

My best friend's family has a shi tzu that basically killed all the fur on his bottom half. They used bitter apple and I don't know how that worked but it's a suggestion for a deterrent.

I used a product called Cut Heal Wound Spray Multi-Purpose for Dogs. I bought it at Tractor Supply.
