Kennel fire in PA *edited to add link I forgot*

A boarding and Chow Chow kennel was struck by an accidental fire from a propane explosion. Several Chows and boarding dogs were injured and killed in the fire. Heartbreaking.

Just a note, don't click for the video to play if you're sensitive to graphic images..there are some very sad images of live, but burned Chows being treated by emergency workers.

ETA..helps if I add the link Another dog dies from burns; death toll at 16 -- themorningcall.com

Why didn't I see that? That's about an hour from me and the Morning Call is one of the local papers. Just terrible.

That's so horribly tragic. :(

Those officers were amazing. The way they were so gentle and caring to those poor injured chows - it went above and beyond the call of duty.

Something about a big burly man, gun on his hip, caressing an injured dog just does something to me. And reading about the one officer who's skin and hair was singed as he was running back and forth carrying dogs in and out....just tore me up.

RIP doggies. :(
