I've heard rabies shots are horribly, horribly painful. Are they are horrible as "they" all say?

I'm so, so glad you're okay!

They are too bad anymore so I've heard. They're given in the upper arm these days and it's not as many shots as it used to be. When I got bitten by a stray, and sick, cat, I had to get the series and it was 7 shots in my abdomen. And yes, those hurt like hell!! That was in the mid-1980's.

Yeah, that's what I always thought it was- shots in the abdomen. It makes sense that it's better now. Looks like I need to update some of my medical information to the 21st century.
