Hi Everyone,
I learned about this group through an article on Google Alert that caught my eye.
Located in the Niagara region of Ontario, we, (Janice and I) have been involved in the world of dogs for over 40 yrs. Showing, breeding and all that is associated with same. Currently, we are no longer breeding and have turned our attention to rescue. In our breed, we are here to assist purchasers from other breeders who won't take responsibility for their placements, and our efforts are open to all breeds in need.
We have been feeding raw for close to 15 yrs and have been vaccs free for 10 yrs. No heartworm, flea meds or chemicals of any kind are used on or in our furbabies.
I could go on & on for a long time talking about dogs, however, I've probably said enough except, I'm happy to be a part of this group and I look forward to getting involved.

Hi Norm and welcome! What breed are you involved in?
we have been involved with Portuguese Water Dogs for the past 18 yrs and during that time we became involved with Lagotto Romagnolo. Prior to PWD we were involved with Rough Collie for 26 yrs.
Currently we have turned our attention towards rescue, within our breed and also all breed. There are so many horror stories out there it's pathetic. I have built quite a network of rescue organizations that I work with as rescue referral, home inspections, foster co-ordinator and of course foster. I am proud to say that I have been a foster failure on a couple of occaisions.
I would love to post pictures however I am not computer savvy so I don't know how to transfer and upload. I am impressed that I know those computer expressions but that's as far as it goes.

welcome! Anxious to hear more about your rescue.
I don't have a rescue organization per say. I just rescue as necessary. I do work with organizations in several capacities.
Here in Niagara, I have taken dogs abandoned and running loose. We even had a guy walk up our driveway with a Beagle on lead and say "do you want him?, I don't" So, of course he entered our lives and hearts. My daughter has him.
