It's been quite hot here lately (mid 90's), though I know some of you have it a lot hotter.
Yesterday Chyna developed a case of runny poop. She woke me up 3 times last night to poop and then pooped again twice this morning. It is starting to look a little better.
Was just wondering if some of your dogs get the runs when it's hot outside. I can't think of anything else that may have caused it, other than some peanut butter she had in her kong last night (the poop was just about that color too). When we take walks, she will "sidewalk surf" but mostly just skimming puddles, which I try to avoid.
I'm not real worried yet. Just wanted to know if this happens to other dogs when it's really hot.
(BTW she is in the house in a/c all day except to go potty and for a walk in the evening).

Thanks for all of your input. I am underwhelmed. :(
I know that I have posted good wishes to many of you when your dogs were sick/passed away etc. All I asked was a simple question. Is it that hard to take a second to reply?

It's a weekend, sorry we're not constantly at our computers...

I would take her to a vet first thing tomorrow morning. The first bout of diarrhea is OK, but the accident in the house and the vomiting aren't a good sign at all.

However, the accident in the house may have resulted from the diarrhea, and the vomiting in the house might have resulted from the stress of having eliminated in the house. The only way to know if it isn't something more malicious is to take her to a veterinarian.

If the vet isn't an option, try the old canned pumpkin trick. Give your dog 1 tablespoon of plain canned pumpkin (not the spiced kind) from a grocery store with his next meal. It should help her solidify her stool.

I've also used Pepto Bismol chewable tablets with great success. Our 11lb dog gets 1/2 of a tablet if he has an upset stomach.

Good luck
