Well yesterday Tabby had his big Vet appointment. I was really worried this morning he was shaking and couldnt walk and he cried and just shook "shivered" He was in alot of pain. I gave him some dog aspirin (SP) and he appears t obe doing much better this evening. He is alil back to nomal. I was worried he was having a reaction from his shots. SO I am not sure if I should give him another dose b4 bed it says on the bottle twice a day but I dont know if he actually feels better or its just the medicine helping. I guess I am just a worry wart. I still havent rehomed him (for more info go to the rescue section) Well let me know what you think. Was this normal?
Thanks in advance

Did the dog have surgery or just get vaccinated?

If the dog had surgery, you broke the cardinal rule of NO ASPIRIN! Aspirin is a blood thinner & affects the clotting factors. Giving asprin after a surgery can result in a dog bleeding out.

Second, if the dog had surgery, shaking/trembling is a common side affect of anesthesia particularly as it is wearing off. Its why we advise people to kennel their pets for a few days following a surgery.

If it was just vaccines the dog had, then you could give something, but a dog shouldn't be in pain because of a very tiny injection. And vaccine reactions present themselves within 30 minutes of administering it.
