Hello everyone, hope you all are well :)

Well finally we are settled into out new home now. We have been here a week, and we just got the internet reconnected today. Am I addicted or what? LOL

All our babies settled in fine. Peanut was the best of them all. Once we got up here and he was put back up in his aviary, in the loungeroom, he was happy as larry. Becker the cat shutdown emotionally for the first 24-36 hours. We basically let him be, and let him adjust at his own pace. We got his new cat enclosure set up, so now he can go outside within the safety of it's confines. Now he is happily curled up on the sofa, instead of hiding somewhere in a corner. He is relaxed and accepting this as home.

Max and Sugar are a bit more cuddly and sooky than normal, but they too are settling in nicely. They are enjoying walks, in a new town, with new smells and new things to see :) We were surprised at Peanut's adapability. Birds of his kind, don't cope with change very well. We thought he was the one that would shut down for the first day or so, but nope. swinging away in his aviary, playing with his toys just like nothing had happened LOL

So anyways I just want to say, that I"m glad to be back, and I hope to catch up with you all soon.

ETA for those that remember, Max's problem, he has had all the lumps safely removed and is recovering nicely

Thanks all
talk soon
Carolyn

P.S I'm glad you took your cat. Many people leave them behind for some ungodly reason. Glad Becker is adapting. Takes a little more time with cats.

Hiya toscasmum and thanks. Yep we are sooooo happy things turned out as they did. Someone up there was watching Maxy I think, and all your good vibes and good thoughts helped too :)

Thanks again

ETA re: Becker, oh I know what you mean. But there is no way we could ever do something like that. I was saying to hubby, do you know how many people do that? I said to him imagine us up here and one of our babies left behind. Oh god I couldn't stand it. When we are ready, we might actually buy this house we are renting. We love it, it's home :) It has been up for sale, but they need to lower the price ;) We were at our previous rental for 12 years, so we had a good reference hehe..

Anyways I"m babbling lol. My head is still full of stuff to do kinda things lol

heh bye for now

I recently moved, and I, too, thought that the cat would be the least adjustable. But she wasn't...she warmed up very quickly.

It's nice to have you back!! I'm glad that you're getting settled in ok!!:)

We also just moved into a brand new house in October. One of our cats is still a little bit nervous about her new surroundings. The two dogs and one cat have done just fine!:)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes.

And Kase you'd better do some more coughin lol cause ummmm we still have some boxes left and I think...my camera is one of them lmao
Also when we move it's going to be in the same suburb so I won't be away as long lol... We are now going to save save save again till we have enough to buy our own house :) but that won't be for a while yet hehe...

Darn pets, it's feeding time. Becker is like mummmmmmmmmmmmm c'mon it's timeeeeeeeeee...Sugar just sits like a good girl staring at me and Max is standing behind me with his kong in his mouth LOL..When he gets excited or is trying to tell you something he has to have something in his mouth...

He is so much more perkier now... almost back to his normal self... :)

ok I'd better go feed them hehe
thanks again all
