My mom is in hospital and going in to assisted living. She has 2 adult cats (one adult Main Coon) who are being boarded until Saturday. If I can't find someone to take them by then, they are dead. Does anyone know anyone reliable in Orange or LA county Calif who can take them or place them? One place told me I had to take them to adoption myself and the fee is $100 per cat, and wished me all the best. I really don't want to kill them if I don't have to, and if I could keep them I would not be placing this email.

Help.

I hope someone comes through for you ! Sure wish people could take their pets with them when moving into homes . It's one of my fears.

What breed is the other cat? Do you have any other information on them (gender, age, personality, neutered etc.) and any pictures? I'll see if anyone on my cat forum is looking for a cat.

Maine coons are such good cats; more like a dog. I'm praying you can find someone to take the cats. Have you tried asking your vet? I know when maine coons are up for adopting wherever I lived, they get adopted quickly.

I can't take them because I have 2 dogs (a new puppy) and a cat with FIV. No way I can take them and no where to put them here. They are fem approx 8 to 9 yrs old (can't find records yet) other cat is calico Norwegian Forest Cat. Dinah Mae. Dinah MAe is very shy, probably alot as a result of living with the Main Coon, Emma. Emma is a gray tabby. She is very calm when she gets her way and one person. I contacted both national clubs, and am not getting much help there, either.

Thanks
