I originally posted here a couple of times, 5 years ago, because I had found a chow mix running in my neighborhood and taken him in, and no way could I keep him because of the 2 dogs I already had, and was hoping to find a rescue that could take him.
well, 5 years have passed, my other 2 beloved dogs have gone to the rainbow bridge some time ago, but Chowder is still here. We tried to find him a home but found early on that he was a little too unstable to trust with anyone else. For the first couple years he was calm and loving with us, but couldn't be trusted around any strangers. With lots of love he has progressed to the point where he is friends with everyone (except new men - he is still afraid of them). He's always loved all other dogs.
so here's my baby. We have decided we miss being a 2 dog family, and are talking with some local rescues to find him a new little brother or sister.
