I was wondering if yall would help me list some healthy foods.
But dont let it be the healthy, tasteless foods. ;)

I want to start eating healthy again and exercising. I have gained about 10 lbs in the last month due to stress which makes me not want to exercise or eat anything or alot of junk food.
I want to lose about 10-15 within the next 6 months, it can be done since I lose weight fast if I stick with the healthy/exercise program.

Is tuna healthy? I have heard that it is and my dad bought me a shiit load of tuna lol.

TIA :)

Snack on fruits and vegetables...yum. Also, nuts (don't overdo it) are a great, filling snack with healthy fats.

Tuna can be healthy...depends how much mayo you make it with ;)

Drink lots of water instead of pop or sugary juices. You'd be surprised how many calories and sugars normal people drink in a day.

If you cut out all the processed sugars, you could lose weight, too, and still eat normal meals.

Yogurt! I love all those new flavors by yoplait. My doc wanted me to eat lots of yogurt during the pregnancy he said it has way more calcium than milk or cheese. Plus all those really yummy ones like the Boston cream pie and the key lime pie are fat free if you are trying to loose weight. I eat a lot of yogurt especially when I am craving something sweet like icecream. Cereal can be healthy if you dont mind skim milk. Special K has some yummy ones.

Grilled chicken breast is always good and you can buy those frozen mixed veggie packets that you steam in the microwave. Quick and easy.

Fruit, I am picky I only like peaches, plums, bananas, strawberries (w/ splenda but I dont think I can have splenda for now) and pineapple.

What she said. And, if you can, try to get organic. Much healthier and tastes a lot better, too.

Also if you go the route of yogurt stay away from the colored stuff... go for organic, the stuff with actual fruit in it. Or get plain or vanilla and put your own fruit in it. :D

Fresh fruits and veggies.

Whole wheat crackers and breads if you like to eat the carbs.

We get fruit leather strips, which are a great on the go snack, made from fruit only of course.

hmm, I shall think more.

Thanks yall.

I was eating a yogurt for breakfast every morning for about 2 weeks, but then I lost interest in it. Maybe I should start eating them again...

I do not like cereal unless its frosted flakes, reese puffs, or honey nut cheerios.

I dont eat Spelnda cause its nasty and I like the nastural sugars in food.

As far as fruit and veggis goes... I love fruits and veggies and I have been eating more of them. I also am eating more lean meat.
I drink WAY to much soda. Dr. Pepper has my heart and its soooo hard not to drink it. But I have been trying to drink more water and so far I'm equaling them out.

You know what I like?
That organic soup they got out now. Its sooooo yummy.
I normally get the yogurt with the fruit in it, cause I hate plain/vanilla yogurt.
We eat whole wheat bread now cause I love my carbs. Just take a look at my butt. LOL!

This is Pam..on fiance's computer now and too lazy to logout and back in :D

If you are drinking a lot of soda, maybe switch to diet. I know a lot of people don't want to drink artificial sweeteners, but I'd rather have a Diet Dr. Pepper a day than all the sugar. I used to drink a lot of diet pop but have really cut back and don't even have one a day now

I LOVE soy yogurt.

Yogurt is one of those foods that's supposed to be so healthy (and it is good for certain things) but it IS high in sugar if you're not wanting to eat a lot of sugar. Plain yogurt with your own fruit, as was suggested, would be better

Or any whole grain bread, really. Doesn't have to be whole wheat. Enjoy your carbs. :p

And the soda thing.. you can go to... you guessed it.. organic soda where they use actual sugar and not the fake stuff. :p

You can make your own things that taste similar, though. I make my own taco seasoning (because store bought has sugar for no real reason). Make a nice taco salad with chicken or whole wheat wraps as taco shells. Lots of things you can do

LOL.

Okay now I have an exercising question...
I love to jog/run but I have no motivation at all!
Not for me to stay/get healthy, not for myself, not for anything...

So i need some get up and go for me to start exercising... how would you suggest I get some get up and go to start exercising?

It is! A little more pricey, but hubby has cut down dramatically and it makes me happy... 1) he still gets his soda and 2) he gets the REAL stuff. lol

Yeah, I'm not too great with recipes. I just throw stuff together and put however much of whatever in it that I want :D
Me too! You will be amazed at what you can make from throwing things together. Just give it a try. We made tacos the night before... our own seasonings and fresh tomato and cabbage (it's crunchier, I like it better) and it tasted much better than Taco Bell could ever. lol :)

It was nummy! I put in fresh garlic and onion and then some seasoning mixture from Whole Foods that had a ton of Mexican spices.. it was very good. :) And you can make it just how YOU like it and it's fresh and doesn't have surprises in it.
