So you guys may remember I had been seeing a guy named Josh. Things were going well for the first 2 months or so.
He came out to the lake with me last month. We were all drinking, and he ended up dancing on this girls boat with her and 2 of her friends. And they were topless. It really bothered me, but he apologized, and I figured since we weren't "official" I would let it slide. He was always very against labels though, and though he said he hoped we would lead to a relationship, he wasn't sure how long it would take bc of a bad breakup last year. Fair enough.
A good friend of mine, Vinny, who I met out at the lake months ago, has been into me for a while. I wasn't extremely interested in him, but I enjoyed spending time with him. He's just not my usual "type." He told me I deserved better than that, and said he'd be there when I realized that.
Back to Josh. He lost his job and has been trying to find a new one. Well when that happened, he started getting shady. Cancelling plans.... Saying he wasn't sure what he was doing that night and then hanging out with friends instead. I didn't see him for a week on 2 different occasions.
So I remembered advice and took a reality check and told myself if he was avoiding me, HE WASN'T THAT INTO ME.
So I told him last Friday, "I want a serious relationship and it's clear to me you don't. I don't want to waste my time."
He replied, "I'm sorry, I want to move out of this state and I feel it's best to put any personal relationships on hold."
So I said, "Okay then. We're done. Because I'm not going to play pseudo girlfriend until you make up your mind. I deserve more than that."
The next day I went out to the lake with my brother, sister in law, and cousin. My brother, (who loves Vinny and thinks he is a great guy,) told Vinny I was once again single. Drinks happened, we all went back to the dock to hang out, and Vinny asked me to go to his boat with him to talk.
Talking led to getting to know him, to really see him for who he is, which led to kissing. JUST kissing. After I left that night he texted me and said "I miss you already!"
He is recently divorced, and neither of us are in the position to rush into anything, so we decided to see each other, but take things slow.
So, Josh found out about the kiss and got mad at me and didnt talk to me for days. When he finally did, I said I was glad he didnt hate me. And he said he's not threatened by Vinny. So then I had to tell him me and Vinny were involved. Needless to say, Josh is realizing what he is missing out on and he keeps texting me telling me we need to stay friends and keep talking. Oh and "As much as I don't wanna say it, I hope you guys work out. You deserve it."
