Willow is what I consider a physical dog. She's a bit of a space cadet. Very driven - especially for food and she absolutely just batters the hell out of me when we do stuff together.

She has a tendency to nail me (as in physically run into me) side of the knee when we practice heeling, finishing, and sometimes on the recall - most of the time it's when we're doing nothing... like simply walking around the backyard. Tonight I simply reached down to pet her and she threw her head into my face... again. Yet again another bloody nose and black eye  I swear one day this dog is going to give me a concussion or knock me down the stairs one day.

It would be one thing if I felt it was an occassional oops but this is pretty frequent right now and **** it... painful. Any advice on getting/expanding a personal bubble when a dog is just excited and being a turkey?

I just want to add that she's a pretty **** happy dog. Usually she's doing the full body wiggle and making happy whale noises when she does this to me. I don't want her to be unhappy about goofing around. I am just tired of the bruises and the I just played fetch with the dog knee ache.
