.......Bingo! :D

Actually, check the house-plants. I remember I had a few many (many) years ago and there was one which seemed to attract them. The were right in the soil too, so I basically had to run soapy water through the soil to kill them......and take it from me - there's a fine line in the amount of soap you use before your plant is "affected".

I guess Andrew and I are the "fruit fly experts" LOL

Check your houseplants--sometimes the soil has small flies in it. Soap and water can sometimes work, but so does the garbage can :p

Better than an insecticide is to take a small plastic margarine container (or something similar)--put some fruit in the bottom, and punch some small holes in the lid. The flies go in to get the fruit, but can't get back out. Once there's a bunch in there, toss the container :)

lol beat me to it. Some house plants are notorious for fruit flies. I get them alot with my houseplants. The margarine container is a great idea, will have to try that. I just spray mine daily with water and weekly with fly spray. I also live in a fairly wooded area so there is another reason, but remember the weather is changing and what was once outside is looking for warmer climate.
