I spoke to OFA this morning and my films are THERE!!! In fact they got there on MONDAY.

So, results will be forthcoming at any time.

I will be calling the back tomorrow to check. For anyone not up on the story, my first go around of exrays back in early September, somehow the films were destroyed. I saw them when I went back for the redo last week. They look as tho toner or something was spilled on them, completely destroyed and unreadable.

The good news is the clinic redid them at no charge, and now I know they have made it to their destination.

*WHEW*!

Oh I didn't know that had happened... what a shame. At least they re did them for free, but you must be anxious by now. I hope it all goes well!

there is another post out there somewhere, Cheza. The both were rated GOOD on hips and NORMAL on elbows.

Isn't it nice, we get to do this all over again next year when they turn 2.

HAHA

CD, you probably can't imagine how happy I am. For one thing, it is really good to know that the research I did before this breeding, both on Elbow Dysplasia, and the pedigrees of both dogs is being confirmed in the results in the litter.

Shaka is producing a fairly high percentage of normal elbows. I definitely have improvement in that regard in this litter. Now one can look at this pedigree and see it come right down the dam's line in a steady march of improvement.

maternal Gr. Gr. sire: ED DJD Gr 2 both elbows (2 normal siblings, 0 normal progeny, 3 djd Gr 1)
maternal Gr Dam (this dog's daughter) ED DJD Gr 1, both elbows ( 0 normal siblings, 3 normal progeny)
dam (Penny) DJD1 in one elbow (1 normal sibling, so far, 4 normal progeny)

Then there is Shaka.
DJD1 in one elbow. 1 normal sibling. 20 normal progeny, 4 normal prelims.
His sire: no data, no sibling data, 4 normal offspring
His dam: normal, with one normal offspring

It honestly was a pedigree loaded for elbow improvement, and I am not the only one who has bred to Shaka and found this out for real.

Oop I jumped the gun then!
Congratulations! That's awesome, it's also interesting to see genetics at work through testing the different generations
