It's Tira...again. Nothing serious, just some itchy, flaky, (dry?), skin on her back end close to her butt *where she LOVES to be scratched*. Could our scratching/rubbing that area all the time have made it flaky? We recently changed the food but it's got better ingredients than the last product (corn isn't the first ingredient...beef/bone meal, corn, wheat, carrots, peas, beet pulp, beef, etc). It's still not "the best" but it's better than what they were eating.
Anyway, she just became flaky/dry this past week. They've been on the food for about 2 weeks (?) now and so far this is the only side effect I've seen. It's not all over, but just a small patch of skin that is flaking. What, if anything, can we do to help get her skin oily and non flaky again?
Gunner isn't flaking and God knows he's eating more than she does. :lol-sign:
Any ideas?
