Hello,

First off, I hope this is in the right section, if not I apoligize, I'm in a bit of a rush so I really wasn't able to look around too much.

I have a 1 1/2 year old male Black lab, and a 1 year old male poodle. The black lab is mostly kept outside in our fenced in backyard, but comes in quite a bit when I am here to watch him. The poodle is mostly an inside dog, but he is let outside.

My mother recently got engaged, and the guy owns a large farm, with lots of wooded areas around the house. He has a male choclate lab, and an older female black lab. basically, what im getting at is, how do I make the transition for the dogs from the suburbs, to the country? My black lab has never really had any free reign like that and im afriad that he will run off into the woods and never come back, or get so lost that he can't find his way back. Same goes for the poodle. I am taking the dogs down there in a few days to their new home, and im looking for any tips or techniques to allow them to adjust to their new home as easily as possible. I have no idea how to allow the dogs to get comfortable without letting them run off or something. Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful and apperciated. Thanks and have a good day!
