I like Zuke's minis because they are small and soft - I have a 15lb dog so I usually end up cutting them into quarters.
I was recently introduced to the Natural Balance Roll. It's a "hybrid" food I guess you could call it? It's comes in a sausage-like package, but is stored with the dry food. Has a great, mouth-watering smell and is easy to cut up into smaller pieces. This is by far my favorite, because it is actually marketed as a food, so I feel like it may be better nutritionally than other "candy-like" treats. http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/pr...oryID=21&category=Premium+Food+Roll+Formulas+
Wonder Nuggets! Soft without being super crumbly, they don't turn hard like Zukes when exposed to the air (Meg has a really hard time with stale Zukes), and they smell so amazing that I am fairly sure I could eat them myself if I got lost while hiking.

I use chicken, hot dogs, and bologna as high value training treats and both of my dogs go nuts for them. They also really like the k9 naturals freeze dried tripe as another high value treat that doesn't need to be prepared. It's also really easy to break up and doesn't crumble too bad.
