Hello, this may be a weird question, but I have decided I don't have enough beds for my dogs, well I have enough beds, but I don't have any mats. And so I need one.

I am looking for something that is:
Durable, yet preferably cute or stylish.
Completely washable.
Easily portable.
Preferably some sort of weather proofing on at least the under side if I were to bring it outside for training.

What are your favorite mats and why?

Do you know of any that fit my description?

Pics are welcome =)

I actually wasn't trying to be sarcastic. I think they are perfect and incredibly useful. The one I have now was maybe $15. It is a great size for my dogs, has a memory foam middle, a super soft top fleece, has a rubber backing (great for dirty training room floors or damp grass). It is a nice grey because I like that, but you could buy it in pink or purple or blue or whatever color floats your boat. They are made to get wet, so when they do get dirty, you can hose them off and hang them over the porch to drip dry. They hold up better than any dog bed I've ever seen. Gusto often chooses to sleep on the one on my bedroom floor rather than on my bed for part of the night.

I actually keep meaning to go pick up two more to put in their crates, because the foam is nicer than any I've seen in regular crate mats.

I've yet to find a purpose-made dog mat that is better than these bath mats.

I use a bathrug too. A pretty one that is memory foam and comfy.

Wow! I didn't know such bath mats existed! Where did you guys get them?
Thanks!

I got mine at Costco a year or so ago but I bet most stores would have it. Try Bed Bath and Beyond or something similar?

Yup, mine was from Bed Bath and Beyond. I bought it last year in a pinch when we moved and Gusto wanted something soft and non-slip to get on and off my bed, as he doesn't like my bamboo floor. I've used it a bit elsewhere since I got an area rug in the bedroom, but like I said - I want to just go pick up a couple more. They are super mats.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest : ) I have a blue and green chevron memory foam one from bed bath and beyond. I use it training inside and outside, and it's what he lays on when we go out to eat or for drinks on a patio and it's too hot to let him lay on concrete.

I got my foam bath rugs from Ross for about $5 each.

I also have a a Ruffwear Mt. Bachelor Pad, which I find slightly more portable than the bath mats. It's waterproof on the bottom, rolls up and secures with velcro straps, and has a handle. I can clip a shoulder strap to it and carry it to a sidewalk cafe, or secure it to the outside of my backpack. It's pretty thin but also strangely attractive, Brisbane will often choose to rest on it over a thicker bed.
