After our daughter turned 4 we decided it was a good time to get a dog, for them to grow together, for her to get to understand and love animals etc. We've heard stories of children that simply rejected the animals. So what did we do... we gave her 3 coloring sheets with 3 different dog breeds and we told her she can pick her favorite, it worked out perfectly.
