Generally speaking, no, you can't bring your dog if it's not entered in the show. There might be a spectator fee and there might not, it depends on the show. Usually smaller shows don't have a spectator fee, but sometimes you might have to pay for parking and/or pay to get in. When we went to Louisville, even the exhibitors had to pay parking - and then they had people checking to make sure you either had a hand stamp from paying the fee as a spectator or were wearing an arm band that signals you were an exhibitor.

Not if you get there early enough sometimes (5:45ish) :p In Louisville I was never asked if I was entered or if I had a stamp/armband. Some shows might say there's an entrance fee, but really, many many people go and never have to pay. Also depends I guess on which door you go through.

If you play by the rules, no, unentered dogs aren't allowed (or puppies under the age of 6 months) on show grounds (like Beanie said). Another rule I never followed (tho I don't prance young puppies around, they are crated in the setup).

btw, on the premium list, it will typically say if there's a spectator fee.

Yeah, we knew you could get there really early and they wouldn't have somebody staffed at the gate - but it was already a long enough day, and we took what sleep we could get with all the barking dogs in the hotel. =P It's still ridiculous that exhibitors have to pay for parking IMO.
I was stopped the first day because I didn't have my stickers yet for agility (wasn't entered Thursday) and they stamped my hand so they wouldn't ask me about it again. Nobody stopped me after that since there was either a big blue stamp on my hand or had a sticker on my arm, LOL.

If we didn't have so many dogs to ex, then I would have slept in and paid, so I don't blame you, lol.

Well, if you can find an agility trial that's not AKC, most will allow spectators with dogs on leash (and under control. Just don't stand next to the ring with your dog.) Generally doesn't cost anything to watch either, at least in our area (midwest).
