Thunder is never on a leash at home. We live on 15 acres and he never leaves my side for any reason. If he goes anywhere with us, he gets put on a leash even though he really doesn't need to be. Scooter and Sammy occasionally get to be off leash at home, but I don't really like to take chances. Marley is never off of the leash.

We're on leash 100% of the time, so far. I have some field work coming up in the middle of no where (on a volcano, in a forest service area), I might let him wander around the work site but I will have a leash and the long line too!

Buster will chase anything small and has a pretty horrid recall. He'll stay close (on a 20ft long line, he rarely uses all of it) but if another dog or CAT is around he would not listen for a second.

Could someone proof him to perfect heel past a cat? Sure, but not me! He is another one of those hit him in the face with a steak and he wont look at it dog. If he wants it, he will not be persuaded otherwise.

Always leashed here! Whether it be in the city, the woods or opened field I never feel safe with them running freely. My fear is more to due with the fact that they are small and easily seen as prey to most bigger dogs and wild animals. They get plenty of free running time in our back yard that's fenced in.

Leashed while walking, unleashed while playing. :)

(If we're in a park or field, we have no qualms about taking our dogs off leash. Their recalls, especially Herschel's, are incredible)

Yes I do, I just wish others would do the same. Imagine we have leash laws and the morons still let the dogs roam, and they are HUGE dogs, all the small dogs are leased, but big ones NO:mad:
