I thought I heard a bark and got up, walking to the back door to let him in. It wasn't Maya, because Maya's only barked once the whole time I've had her and she'll never have a deep dane bark like Dre did.
At work, I used to call the house and leave my voice for him on the answering machine. I did that at work today, and looked at a picture frame on my desk that says RIP and that had a pic of Dre in it.
I then called again for Maya, but I was like: " Hey Dre! Who's a big bear? Yes, you, you silly mutt! Oh yes you know mummy loves you!"... Maya must've been wondering who the heck Dre was.
I keep thinking I'm seeing a black and white blur in my house, once running down the stairs, and once on my front porch, and some more times in the barn.
Do you get the feeling you're dogs still there, and that you can see and hear them, or think you're insane because you imagine you can?
