Just thought some might like to see x-rays of a normal vs DJD I elbows.
Dante's DJD I Elbow: (I marked it not the vet)

Dante's Normal Elbow:

(I took pictures of the x-rays while they hung in the window. The only real difference in the two elbows is the area marked, even though the bone looks less dense in the one x-ray-that's just the photo)

And for good measure :D

I have her films. I have looked and cannot find anything, altho I am not a trained person. I will see if I can scan them.

I only saw that little "Thingie" on Dante's DJD I elbow after the ortho vet pointed it out to me, I mean it's a tiny little slightly lighter grey spot!

I'm going to have his elbows x-rayed again in the next 6 months some time to see if there is any change.

Nice tight hips there. I see the rough edge and the shadow in the elbow with DJD. Where as the other one does not have a rough edge or shadow.

X-Rays

Just bumping this back up with the talk of the whole DJD1 elbow thing.

I just realized looking at them that I have them flipped opposite so it's a bit hard to tell that the difference in the two elbows is almost miniscule. Momof7 said she could see rough edges but no matter how hard I look I don't, only that small shadow.

Though I had thought to have him x-rayed 6 months after those were taken a year ago, I’ve decided to wait probably another year since we have absolutely no symptoms.
