Diet change, food questions...Mordy or someone??

Food questions.. how to get onto some commerically available product (so we have to cook a bit less!) and maintain a good balance....

Following Bonnie's poisoning and stomach pump some months back we've changed from her regular natural wet food (was Nature Diet, www.naturediet.net) to home cooking following several bouts of stomach upset and an apparent allergy to some of the ingredients, but we weren't sure which...

She is finally settled on the home cooking, but to give her a balance with a commerical product what we'd like to do is to suppliment a decent dry product with fresh meat, fish and veg.

(We've thought of "going raw" but don't think its the best option with some of the quality of meat we've seen and the temperatures here in summer would make it difficult.)

As we are in Spain with limited choices the best options for dry seem to be
- Eagle Pack Holistic
- Burns
Only other name we've recognised here in Spain is Royal Canin, but don't know much about it.
Any product available in the UK, France or Spain we should be able to get and can buy in bulk on our travels.

Can anyone give any tips on our intended course and which of the above (or another) product is best- primarily for Bonnie with her sensitive stomach but also suitable for Zelda such that they can eat the same and avoid mealtime comparisons and keep our "workload" down!!

muttley (Bonnie & Zelda's mom) may respond on this thread as I'm about to leave town on a trip, dogless :( ....

Any and all advice, tips etc gratefully received - thanks in advance :)

Of the foods you listed, Eagle Pack would be your best option. :)

I'm not sure what the temperatures in summer would have to do with raw feeding, I live in Southern California and we frequently have temperatures over 26 degrees celsius even in the winter and much higher than that in the summer. As long as you prepare your food observing the same basic rules as for your own and have a freezer and refrigerator available, no problem at all. :)

Thanks Mordy.

Only mentioned the temperature as we've sometimes experienced quality issues with meat and obviously - before it reaches us esp. with it getting very hot here it must be handled extremely well, and not sure that always happens... (I actually use an ice box in the car for frozen/cold food shopping in summer!)

We'll give Eagle Pack a try, thanks for the response :)

Oh I see! :) Maybe you can buy frozen instead of fresh items then, there's less of a risk that way. :)
