On really cold mornings I give Rosco his food (wellness puppy) then I heat up some water and cook some carrots for him, he LOVES carrots:D Then when they are cooked I pour the carrots and the water into his food for a nice warm meal and he LOVES it.

I was just wondering if cooked carrots are actually GOOD for him and benaficiall to give to him. Also what else can I add to his food that would be good for him?

Thanks Reesa :)

Cooked carrots are just fine. Cooking breaks down the cell walls so the dog's are able to derive the benefits from the vegetables and aren't just passing solid chunks through. You can do the same with green beans, spinach, etc.

Look around the Dog Food and Recipies forum here; tons of great advice! Yogurt and/or cottage cheese are two other popular additions.
