Cold?

Boris has been sneezing and coughing. I guess he got a cold... Being my first time, I have absolutely no clue how annoying colds are for dogs (well, except the noise ). How long do they last and do they need meds? I'm going to the vet tomorrow anyway for something else but I'm curious of what to expect. Thanks!

hey..so what did the vet say?? cuz my dog was having fever too and the vet was giving him 8 injections for a day for 10 days..of course i stopped cuz its too much pain for him. i hope your dog's alright..

It seems it was his elizabethan collar that he had so that he didn't chew his stitches that irritated his trachea (sp?). Poor thing was coughing a lot for 3 days, but once the collar was removed, we removed his other collar for a few days as well and it disappeared.
