These quotes are from sajes link. Hygiene and condom use, is the key.
Wow, Rottie you really managed to pick through that article, find what agrees with you, and not bother to post the rest of the info. typical.

You are right saje, I did pick up on what I agree on, and you seemed to miss that tid bit of info. Hygiene is the key whether you agree with it or not. The fact is... condom use and good hygiene helps reduce STDs and infections, whether you are circumcised or not. I dont think babies should have their penises cut (without any anesthesia), when there are other ways of preventing possible health issues.

So hygiene is the key because you are telling me it is? Whether I agree with it or not lol. Nice. And no, I did not miss that info. I told you I like sources that tell all sides. Hygiene is just as important but circumsizing can help. Do you have your ears pierced?

My point is... health issues can be avoided without circumcision, and you ignore that fact. All you do is try to explain that babies need to be circumcised to be free of health problems. Atleast that is what it sounds like.

You are addressing the fact that babies should be circumcised because of health reasons. Look at the quote in my last post.

It can't always be avoided with hygene.... like I said before (dont know if you read it) a friend of mine when I was a kid HAD to get it done because of infections, my brother almost did too. Sometimes it's hard for little boys to keep themselves clean as they should and then infections CAN become a problem.

I'm not saying that a guy that is not circumsised will always have problems and will get infections etc. That is not the case. It is something that CAN happen and circumcision is one way to prevent that. I really dont see what the big deal is to be honest... I think it's just up to the parents to be honest, if a parent thinks it would be better for their child then that is up to them. I seriously dont think the child will " suffer " from it.

If people want to do it, then fine. I personally wouldn't. Men have had the same bits for millions (thousands?) of years now, and it doesn't seem to be doing to badly for them!! why interfere? ;)

Every guy that I've brought up the subject with thinks that NOT being circumsized is pretty gross. Including my bf who's circumcision was botched TWICE. This just amuses him and he will have any son he has done.

Not all men think its gross, in fact, there are alot of men who are happy that they havent been cut. I think men want to be circumcised to fit in with others. You will see that men who think it is gross, are men who are circumcised, and men who think its not gross, are men who are not circumcised.

I don't find that at all so please don't tell me I do. And my bf for one (amoung many others) does not like being cirumsized because it's cool. He likes it because it's cleaner and healthier (his opinion and mine based on research). I personally don't care if a guy is circumsized or not. And I think that most guys who are circumsized are happy with it while a lot of guys who aren't get the operation for whatever reason. Pick one.

In fact, a lot of women perfer circumsized men which I think would be the biggest factor for men - men being men. Women like it because it's neater, cleaner and healthier for them as well (re: cervical cancer).

Really I don't care if it's done or not. My bf feels quite strongly about it so I'm more than happy to have any kids of ours cirumsized. It doesn't make any difference to me and if anything it will be better for the kids.

I was talking about this thread with my mother, who teaches first grade. She said something that I didn't really think of and goes along with the hygiene. I'll paraphrase: Basically, little boys don't have any recognizable hygiene habits and when they get to a certain age, having their mommies clean the foreskin can get wierd and uncomfortable and in this age of hyper-watchdog/child services, a stray comment about "mommy touching me there" could land the parents in a world of trouble. It's more difficult than some might think to explain there was not an ulterior motive behind those actions.

That is a good point. People talk about the simple need to keep it "clean." Well, how many little boys do you know that are all about good hygiene? LOL!!! Not many! ;)

really it's not that big of a deal! if you like it, you like it, if you don't, you don't. it doesn't concern most guys, as long as it gets the job done.

I dont think its that hard to teach a boy to clean himself, but there are boys who probably wouldnt do it often. Even if he got an infection, there are antibiotics that get rid of it pretty quickly. I dont think its such a big deal that you "might" get an infection, if your not circumcised. I have known alot of guys who have a natural penis, and they have never gotten an infection in their entire lives. I dont think infections are as common as some of you think. Women get more infections than men in that area of the body, and they are still able to live happy normal lives. A natural penis has many bennefits to sex that many of you probably dont know about, but im not going list them, because there are young kids who use this forum.

I think we all know about the sexual benefits of both circumsized and uncircumsized penises. Most of us are a lot older than you after all. lol

Saje, how does age matter? You dont make any sence. Believe it or not, but there are people over 50 who have no idea what the benefits are.
