I will definitely have a urinalysis done. I picked up the third box already and cleaned the floor underneath it, hoping to find some Feliway tomorrow while we are out on errands otherwise I'll have to order it online. Thankfully the xmas presents were not peed on, but he did poop in one of the ferrets litter boxes last night. No big deal, much better than on the floor. My vet had mentioned the box for every cat +1 extra as well, which is why I bumped it up to 3 boxes when the problem first started since I had two cats at the time.
I've noticed that they have Nature's Miracle for dogs/cats/ferrets specifically, but I always figured that was them trying to get people to shell out extra for multiple gallons for each species, so I always get the one that doesn't indicate any certain animal.
As for the household changes, this all started when Max (RIP) started declining (I was also at the early stages of this pregnancy as well). At the time I wasn't sure who was doing it because the culprit was never caught in the act. When it continued I thought maybe he needed some adjustment time to being an only cat, but he seems to have adapted quite well and plays with the dogs now (he rarely played/cuddled with Max). When I originally adopted Ninja I had gotten pregnant with my daughter a couple of months later and he didn't have any issues at that time so I don't know if his issues now could be related to this pregnancy.
