Does anyone have an unbraided Stibbar leash? The braided ones are lovely, but are twice the price, and an unbraided would match my current leather leash.

I assume it would be just as soft, since it's the same leather, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
I don't have one, but have fondled at shows. The unbraided are much lighter weight and more prone to stretching out from what I hear, but yes, still just as soft.

I have an unbraided Stibbar leash and I adore it. Seriously the softest leather I've ever held -- and I used to ride horses, so I take leather pretty seriously. There was no break-in time whatsoever. I ordered mine as a European lead, so it has several fixed and loose rings throughout that make it a bit heavier, but it is still very light and folds into my pocket. Looooove it.

I don't have any pictures of it on its own, but here's one of it in action. :)

Yes, I have a flat and a braided (maybe multiples of both ;)). I own several of the leads mentioned in this thread. Stibbar arrives the softest. The leather is treated differently.

Stibbar has a slightly unfinished feel on the edges fresh out of the mail. It is springy and bouncy. My best leash was a super skinny 6' flat leash from Stibbar. I lost it in the woods.
