Last night.
I may or may not have been inhebriated at the time. I was running around chasing the dog like an idiot (imagine this as I was dressed very formal for a Gala I had just gotten back from) chasing him around the kitchen when SLAM! I misjudged where the stove was and smacked my right foot off it.
Stubbed two of my toes (the two next to my big toe) and they are infact broken.
It really hurts....
Does really help either that I'm volunteering at an ourdoor arts festival this weekend. Now I sit at the information booth and do nothing. Boone likes the shade tho so that's a good thing.

I am so sorry! I broke my foot in April so I can definently understand your pain, literally. It was killing me yesterday too because of the barometric pressure. I took two advil and it did nothing for me. I finally had two margaritas after work and only then was the pain diminished. So, be prepared for aching toes even after they are healed during rainy days...ugh!

Feel your pain !!!! I've broken toe and foot bones 4 times and yet have never had a caste, All you can do is suffer it seems ! Sorry to say , but they'll aways be sore the rest of your life. Just say goodbye to pretty shoes !! I do take anti-inflamitories for my arthritis and the whine helps . Needless to say my toe nails haven't be painted for years. !! Sigh !!! All mine were done doing normal stuff too .....no great coctail stories. Sucks !!

Well this is actually the second set of toes I've broken. 3 years ago, I went running to answer the phone when I was expecting a boy to call for me and stubbed two toes on a metal office chair (turns out it was for my sister, so a huge waste for me!). I picked up the call still and said "I CAN'T TALK MY TOES ARE MESSED UP!" and slammed down the phone. That time, two toes were broken AND dislocated...they were pointing the wrong way, very gross. So I went to the clinic and the doc grabbed them (keep in mind they are broken also, not just dislocated) and reefed on them to put them back in the sockets. YOUCH x million!!!
I'm still able to wear pretty shoes and no lasting effects from that incident, so I hope these ones heal just as well.

I didn't know toes could dislocate

I hate dislocations... they hurt so bad!
Oh they sure can be!! The second to my big toe was pointed sideways towards my big toe and the middle toe was bent forward so it didn't touch the ground when I stood on it<--if I had even tried.
It looked so disgusting. Yes it did hurt a ton! Especially when he yanked on them, but then the pain went down about 100x. They were stil broken and sore, but it was managable.
