Binn and Stella... lol

Most of you know that Binn and Stella don't get along. so we keep them seperated. This afternoon we brought both of them in the living room and to my surprise they didn't grow and she didn't try to charge at him :yikes:

I was were standing right there.. just in case Binn tried to hump Stella but no.. they just sat there looking and smiling at each other, and then looking at us.. BUT.. as soon as I started to walk away a few steps I heard a low growl from Stella, and as soon as I turned my back she stopped, put her head high up in the air and started smiling and panting..

Poor Binn.. he just sat there with his thing hanging out the whole time looking at her like she was nuts. He knew he probably wasn't going to get any :lol-sign:

No they don't fight.. bad choice of words on my part... I changed it. She's defending her territory and teaching Binn was is acceptable.. and him trying to hump her is not acceptable in her world.

You should be pleased that Binn has a good teacher like Stella. What she teaches him may help him someday with other dogs. Why do you separate them if she's just teaching him manners?

Because Stella acts like she'll really hurt him... althought she never has...

If I was her I wouldn't want him humping me either. It sounds like she's just trying to warn him not to do that and she doesn't like it.

What's the news there? Are you keeping Stella after all?

Honestly, it sounds to me like the dogs need to be allowed to sort out the hierarchy. I would be nervous too, but this episode makes it look promising!
