I´m going to be away for a while, no arguements, but just because we´ve lost our internet connection at home - and it could be a while before it is sorted out. It has taken them five days to admit there is a problem in the area, after we bought a new router, paid for someone to look at our pc etc...etc.....makes you mad but what can you do. I can make the odd trip to this internet cafe, but not very often. when we do get back on line will have loads of work to catch up on so no surfing straight away................anyway, will miss Chaz and all you guys.....have fun!!

Oh gosh it happened go us two years ago. Stupid dsl company said there was nothing wrong on their side and it wasn't them, turns out they had updated the software that connects to people''s modem without telling anyone, so the modems with old drivers could not connect anymore. It took my husband 3 weeks to figure it out, you would have thought they could have told us that they had updated the softare and we had to update our drivers (which is amusing without internet connection I got to say), or maybe, I don't know, warn us they were going to do it and everyone needed a new driver for their modem. I'm sure they lost more than one customer that day, but we switched to cable...

what can you do
Hmmm... sounds familiar, well kind of, I never actually got connected at my new place, and the telephone lines are present just outside in the street. Maybe Telefonica (our telephone company) should rename themselves Telefonicaaaraghghghagh!

What can you do? Well, I finally gave up and am back on-line (yay!) via a satellite dish - the exact same system I was using "in the middle of nowhere" before, and now I'm in a brand new urbanisation!
