I would like to get away from using a topical tick/flea repellant on my dogs. I have read of very good success using Python cattle ear tags cut in half and attached to a dog's collar. Anyone here ever try them?

Friend of mine raises Beagles and has like 4 coonhounds, he's used 'em for a while. Just wraps 'em around the collar and snaps 'em. They slide on & off day-glo collars.

Hi,

Have you tried using soapnuts to get rid of fleas. I did. Work well. Just use 50grams of soapnuts and add about a liter of water and put to a boil. Let it cool and place in a container. Wet your dog and apply the soapnut extract as if you are applying a shampoo. Let it stand for about a minute or two. Then rinse.
