I need to prepare for a nasty summer full of fleas and mosquitoes in TX.

I've always used heartgard, but is this the best I can do?

Frontline has been something I've used for many years, and I am honestly not happy with it.
Last year, even with both dogs on frontline plus, they were covered in fleas. It didn't help that our yard was infested as well.

What can I do to keep the yard flea free? Last year I could walk outside and be covered in fleas. I tried Adam's yard spray & a 'quality' chemical spray from the garden store... neither worked.

Heartworm prevention, flea prevention, and yard infestation prevention without spending a fortune, because sadly, these fleas stick around from the beginning of summer to the end of winter.

my dogs didn't do well on Frontline, so this year I switched to Advantix. I've spread lime on the yard, and it seems to help while being inexpensive.
