Just wondering if any of you with these allergy probs have done a real elimination diet to pinpoint exactly which ingredients are the culprit?

It can be a problem with a particular grain or a protein source but it can also be a preservative or something else insignificant that we don't think of.

The only real way to know is to do a proper elimination diet (which I know would be a huge PIA) but it might make it easier to pick dog foods after that. Short term pain for long term gain ?

Can you do an elimination diet on a commercial food? As long as the symptoms subside? I would like to do that, because if I could figure out exactly what caused the problem it would open up a lot more options for us...
