I may be a little biased because I make and sell dog clothing with a specialty on fancy dresses that can be used as harnesses as well.
But my opinion on the subject is that as long as the dog is not suffering in any way from wearing clothing, it isn't an issue.
I certainly think a dog in...
Senior Pet Lover -- that really brought me to tears, again for the 100th time today. thank you for being so kind about it and writing that response, it really means a lot for me. i just have so much guilt about this whole situation, I keep wondering if there's another way or if I could get...
Thank you guys, I just have so many what if's...
what if the new owners drop them at a shelter one day, or abandon them...what if they get left alone in the backyard, what if they never get walks, what if they aren't loved like I love them?
It's just to the point where I feel is there...
This is the hardest post I've ever had to write in my life.
My health has taken a turn for the worse and none of my asthma or allergy medications are really helping me anymore. The dr's don't even suggest allergy shots at this time because the condition of my lungs are not good and the shots...
The reason I was asking again was to get a fresh prospective and to inquire on what to ask possible trainers to find the best one.
I suppose not everyone "gets" things right away and for some reason this is the one area I haven't gotten down. This is why I'm looking into hiring someone to...
Thank you guys so much for the suggestions! I work very hard with them, but I will fully admit that getting 4 dogs all 2 years and under was not very smart on my part.
But they are here, I love them and I guess I just have to work harder and be more patient.
I think I'm expecting too much...
I have read books upon books and also watched videos teaching how to do this and I'm still absolutely clueless on it.
It seems like none of my methods are working.
My dogs wear harnesses, I put them on a 4 foot lead and shorten it until they are by my side with a bit of slack to the leash...
Awe thank you so much! I love my two little munchkins! I love my two other little monsters too, but they won't ever let me take pictures so those are more rare :p I end up with the side of their head or a tail, LOL!
The harness outfits are so great, because they're cute and they're also...
Awe thank you for the well wishes! I keep putting off her spay and she's gone through one heat cycle -- she's around 9 months and I just HAVE to do it.
I always hate it because I just know she's going to be scared being away from home. She has lacking socialization skills as much as I try and...
I took a few pictures of the pups over the past week and wanted to share since I haven't taken many lately!
McKenzie goes in for her spay on Monday and I'm so worried -- I hate that she has to spend the night
Here are the pictures --
Here it is 3 dogs, not sure how many cats. I'm over by one dog, but so far have not had any issues, and all of mine are registered. A person that works at the clerks office lives right down the street from me and knows I have 4, so I'm thinking if I was going to have an issue I probably would...
The flexible ones never last here, my gang will be tearing chunks out of them in no time at all. I've never tried the hard ones, but the edible ones are a favorite treat of my pups.
Mine are each getting a stocking filled with bully sticks, treats, sweaters, dresses, harnesses, collars, plushies, orbee bones and balls, and some other things I can't remember.
I also got them a new food dish set for their bedroom and a couch. :)
I think it's just been my experience that I have never seen a dog be 100% reliable. I don't mean that there aren't those who can do well off leash.
My neighbor has a dog who's allowed off leash in his yard all the time. We live in the city so it's not like they have a huge amount of property...
